Overcoming Social Anxiety as a 43-Year-Old Woman

I’ve struggled with social anxiety for as long as I can remember. It’s been a constant battle, feeling like I just don’t measure up to others and that everyone is judging me. But I’ve been working on taking small steps to overcome it. I’ve started by just pushing myself a little bit outside of my comfort zone, like making small talk with a stranger or joining a social group. It’s been really tough, but I’ve found that each tiny victory has given me a little more confidence. I’ve also been seeing a therapist who has been helping me develop coping mechanisms and strategies to manage my anxiety. It’s still an ongoing process, and some days are definitely better than others, but I’m proud of the progress I’ve made. If anyone else out there is struggling with social anxiety, just know that you’re not alone. It’s a tough road, but there is hope and support out there. Hang in there!
