Work stress and feeling a bit lost

This caught my attention since I’ve been navigating the tricky waters of work-related stress lately, and I think it’s something that many of us can relate to. You know that feeling when you wake up and instantly feel the weight of the day ahead? Lately, it seems like every task is a mountain, and some days I just want to stay in bed and avoid it all.

I find myself questioning if I’m in the right job or if I’m just going through the motions. It’s like I’m stuck in a loop—stress from deadlines piling up, feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities, and then the creeping sense of doubt about my own abilities. Has anyone else felt like they’re just not cut out for the demands of their job? It’s really unsettling.

I’ve tried to manage my stress in different ways, like taking breaks or even getting outside for a walk, but sometimes it feels like a band-aid on a larger issue. I wonder if I’m putting too much pressure on myself or if it’s the environment that’s contributing to this constant feeling of being lost. It leads me to think about how we often equate our worth with our productivity, and that can be such a heavy burden to carry.

I’m curious—what do you all do when the stress of work starts to feel like too much? Do you have strategies that help you regain that sense of control, or do you just ride it out and hope it gets better? I’d love to hear your thoughts or experiences because sometimes just knowing we’re not alone in this can make a big difference.
