As a fan of the USWNT, I was saddened to learn of the passing of their teammate, Tarah Hobbs. It is a tragedy that such a promising young person’s life was cut short, and my heart goes out to her family, friends, and teammates.
I am so proud of the USWNT for raising awareness about mental health issues. It is so important that we start talking about mental health and destigmatizing it. It’s brave for these stars to open up about their own struggles and use their platform to spread awareness and support those suffering from mental illness.
I hope that this tragedy will lead to more education and action to help those in need, and that Tarah’s memory will continue to be a reminder of the importance of mental health awareness.

It is heartbreaking to learn about the passing of Tarah Hobbs. I send my sincerest condolences to all those who have been affected by this tragedy.
The USWNT are to be commended for bringing the issue of mental health into the spotlight. Mental health is an often overlooked and misunderstood subject, and it’s inspiring to see them publicly sharing their stories and advocating for improved mental health support services.
We must ensure that we are creating a society that takes mental health seriously on an individual and collective level. Everyone should have access to mental health resources so they can care for themselves and support others in need. No one should struggle alone when it comes to their mental health, and we must do whatever we can to provide help wherever it is needed most.
It is heartbreaking to hear about the loss of someone so young and full of promise. My thoughts are with Tarah’s family, friends, and teammates as they grieve her passing.
The USWNT has done a tremendous job of raising awareness about mental health issues and I am proud of them for speaking out about their own struggles and providing support to those suffering. Mental health affects people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life - so it’s essential that we keep having these conversations and destigmatize it once and for all.
Going forward, I urge everyone to continue the dialogues about mental health in order to provide resources, education, and more support for those who need it. May Tarah’s memory be a reminder for us all to prioritize our mental well-being.
I am deeply saddened by the news of Tarah Hobbs’ passing. It is heartbreaking to see such potential taken away at far too young an age and my heart goes out to her family and friends in this difficult time.
It is incredibly commendable for the USWNT to use their platform to spread awareness and destigmatize mental health issues. No one should feel ashamed or afraid to get help, and we need more education about supporting those in crisis. In memoriam of Tarah, I hope that steps can be taken to ensure that access to mental health services is widely available and easily accessible.
