I’m trying to understand my mild OCD without letting it become my whole identity. Some thoughts and checking habits can take up more space than I’d like, but I don’t want every decision or bad day to be explained by OCD.
I’m learning to notice the patterns without judging myself, and to treat them as something I deal with rather than who I am. It’s harder when I start analyzing whether every thought is an OCD thought. That can turn into another loop.
I’m trying to keep some normal routines and interests in my life, even when my brain is being noisy. Does anyone else struggle with separating the condition from their sense of self?
