Taking Care of My Mental Health as a Frontline Worker

As a 20-year-old woman working on the frontlines, I’ve been feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders. The stress and pressure of my job have been taking a toll on my mental health. I often find it hard to switch off and relax when I come home, and the fear of burnout is always looming over me. However, I’ve been trying to prioritize my mental well-being by practicing self-care, reaching out to supportive friends and family, and seeking professional help when needed. It’s not easy, but I know that taking care of my mental health is just as important as taking care of my physical health. I encourage others in similar positions to prioritize their own well-being and seek out the support they need. We may be frontline heroes, but we also need to take care of ourselves in order to continue helping others.
