Tackling Anxiety and Stress: My Experiences

I’ve had to deal with anxiety and stress for most of my life. It wasn’t until recently that I understood how much it was affecting me, resulting in me missing out on so many experiences and opportunities.

The worst part for me is feeling so overwhelmed. Every little thing feels like a mountain to climb - everything just seems too difficult or impossible to face. Despite this, I’m trying my best to learn how to identify what causes my stress and take control of it.

One way I have been able to manage anxiety and stress is by taking time out each day to look after myself - doing things that make me feel happy and relaxed, like going for a walk or spending time with family and friends. Even if its only 15 minutes, it can make all the difference in resetting my mind and body.

Alongside this, I also practice positive self-talk - telling myself I’m capable of facing any challenge that comes my way without letting negative thoughts take over. This has proven much more effective for tackling what’s holding me back than the alternative approach of pushing myself beyond my limits.

I know there will be times when anxiety and stress try to creep back into my system but I’m determined to keep fighting it, no matter how hard it gets.
