Supporting a Depressed Spouse

Living with a depressed spouse can be challenging and exhausting. As a 43-year-old man, I never imagined that I would be in this situation. It’s hard to see someone you love struggling with their mental health, and it can take a toll on your own well-being. I’ve learned that it’s important to prioritize self-care and seek support for myself as well. However, I also want to be there for my spouse and offer support in any way I can. It’s not easy, but I try to remind myself that we’re in this together and that there is hope for healing. I’m grateful for the resources and community that this nonprofit provides, and I hope to connect with others who are going through similar experiences. Together, we can learn and grow in our journey of supporting our loved ones with mental illness.
