Overcoming my phone anxiety

I’ve struggled with phone anxiety for as long as I can remember. Making or receiving phone calls would send my heart racing and make me feel incredibly anxious. It made simple tasks like calling to schedule appointments or even chatting with friends feel like impossible challenges. However, I’ve been working on overcoming this anxiety and I’ve made progress. I now remind myself that it’s okay to feel anxious and that I can handle it. I practice deep breathing and positive self-talk before making a call, and it has been helping. I also remind myself that the person on the other end of the line is just another human being, and they probably don’t even notice my anxiety. I still have bad days, but I’m proud of the progress I’ve made. I want to encourage anyone else struggling with phone anxiety to take small steps towards overcoming it. You’re not alone, and it’s okay to take things at your own pace.
