As a 34-year-old man, I have struggled with chronic worrying for as long as I can remember. It’s been exhausting and at times overwhelming. But recently, I made a decision to actively work on managing my worries. I’ve started practicing mindfulness and focusing on the present moment, which has helped me gain some perspective on my worries. I’ve also found that talking to a therapist has been incredibly beneficial. It’s not easy, and I still have my moments, but I am determined to overcome this. I know it won’t happen overnight, but I am committed to making small steps every day. I want to encourage other men out there who may be dealing with similar issues to seek help and know that it’s okay to not be okay. We are all in this together, and with the right support, we can overcome chronic worrying.
