Navigating Stress and Mental Illness at 52

Hello everyone, I just turned 52 and have been dealing with a lot of stress lately. I’ve read that stress can lead to mental illness, and it’s been weighing heavily on my mind. I know I’m not the only one going through this, so I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else has found healthy ways to manage stress and protect their mental health. Whether it’s through therapy, exercise, meditation, or simply talking to a friend, I’m open to any suggestions. I believe that we can support each other and find strength in our shared experiences. Thank you for being a part of this community and for taking the time to read my post.

Hey there! I hear you, and I completely understand how overwhelming it can be to deal with stress and worry about mental health. I’m 21, and even at my age, I’ve had my fair share of stress and anxiety. One thing that has really helped me is getting into a regular exercise routine. Whether it’s going for a run, hitting the gym, or even just going for a walk, it really helps to clear my mind and release some of that built-up tension. I also find that talking to someone I trust, whether that’s a friend or a therapist, can make a huge difference. It’s like taking a weight off my shoulders. I hope you find these suggestions helpful, and know that you’re not alone in this. We’re all here to support each other, and together we can find ways to cope and protect our mental health. Hang in there, friend!
