Lately I’ve been feeling overwhelmed by the stress from my job. It feels like no matter how hard I try, I’m just not able to keep up with all of my tasks. Even though I love what I do and am passionate about it, it’s really taking its toll on my mental health.
I know that having breaks is important - but often times those moments of rest are drowned out by thoughts of stress or anxiety about everything that needs to be done and everything that can go wrong at work. It would be great if there was ever more time in the day to just take a breath and get away from it all for a few minutes at a time!
The last thing I want is burnout or lack of motivation toward something I really care about - so I believe it’s essential to find ways to manage this occupational stress in order to stay healthy mentally and emotionally. It’s hard sometimes, but finding healthy coping mechanisms like exercise, distraction and breathing exercises has really helped me stay motivated amidst the chaos.
