My natural ptsd treatment journey

It’s been a journey full of ups and downs to get to where I am today. When I was first dealing with my PTSD, I had no idea what resources were available to me. But, over the past few years, I’ve discovered that taking the time to understand the treatment practices that work best for me has made all the difference.

At first, therapy was one of the routes I tried. It wasn’t as helpful as I hoped it would be since there isn’t one specific type of therapy for healing PTSD. Instead, it was a combination of different techniques that eventually started making an impact on my life and improved my mental health overall.

Besides therapy, meditation has provided a sense of inner peace that has allowed me to focus on finding solutions during times of stress. I’ve also taken up regular exercise which helps with stress relief and mental clarity - two important factors in recovery from any trauma.

Overall, it’s been important for me to focus on self-care over this natural PTSD treatment journey. Taking care of my physical and emotional needs has been my number one priority as I strive for better days ahead.
