My mental health story: managing bipolar with escitalopram

My mental health journey is something that I hold close to my heart. It’s been a long journey and I have seen both beautiful highs and painful lows in my life due to bipolar disorder.

I was only recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and it has taken me a while to fully accept the diagnosis and seek out treatment for it. After researching various medications, I ultimately decided on escitalopram, which has been an absolutely lifesaver in managing my moods.

Before taking this medication, I often felt so down that it was difficult for me to function properly in everyday activities like attending school or going out sometimes simple tasks like brushing my hair would make my energy levels drop drastically. But since then, I’ve noticed a major difference in how balanced my moods are and how much more energy and motivation I now have throughout the day - I feel like a brand new person!

Managing bipolar can still be hard some days - but with escitalopram by my side, I’m feeling ready to take on anything life throws at me!
