My mental health journey has been tough each step of the way. It started when I was first diagnosed with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) several years ago. Learning how to come to terms with my diagnosis was very difficult and, at times, incredibly overwhelming for both me and my loved ones.
Recently, I began a new treatment protocol called Pip or Psychological Injury Program. One of the biggest steps in my journey has been recognizing that it is important to take care of yourself and seek proper help when necessary. The prognosis looks good so far as I am able to identify my triggers, think through situations before they turn into danger signs, and build more mental resilience.
Most days are still challenging but I always have something to stay positive about thanks to Pip’s guidance. The therapy continues and I know that it will only get better from here on out as I continue on my mental health journey using the coping strategies provided by this program.
