I’ve been through some tough times, but I’m making progress in learning how to manage my mental health. I’m especially thankful for the schooling and education I’ve undergone that has made me more informed on trauma and mental health. Learning to understand the concepts surrounding trauma has been especially helpful, as it has enabled me to better recognize how past experiences have affected my mental health. This understanding of exposures to past difficulties and stressors has been key as I’ve worked through overcoming these struggles. Additionally, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of developing healthy coping skills and strategies for dealing with difficult emotions. This combined knowledge has really helped me on my journey to better mental health. It’s amazing what education can do!
