My mental health and eating disorder recovery

I have had quite the journey in my personal life, and it wasn’t until recently that I realized how much of an impact my mental health was having. After dealing with an eating disorder for a long time, I finally made the decision to get help. It was one of the scariest moments in my life, but it has changed me for the better in ways I never imagined.

The first few weeks were extremely daunting as I started to unpick everything that lead me down this path. But soon enough things started to take shape as I began understanding why I had been self-sabotaging and where it stemmed from. Working with a therapist and dietician on building skills, and creating healthy habits around food served as a giant wake up call; Knowing that recovery is absolutely possible, healed me in more ways than one.
