Growing up, I was always aware of mental health but never able to fully comprehend the struggles that so many people face. That changed when I began to experience what it was to grapple with the after-effects of childhood trauma. Seeing how it affected every aspect of my life - from relationships to family life and even career decisions - motivated me to open myself up and explore different ways to heal.
The journey has been difficult, but also humbling. It’s incredible how much impact we can have on our emotional well-being by simply being more aware of our thoughts and feelings. I’ve tried out a range of therapeutic techniques from talk therapy sessions to tapping, all of which have been incredibly healing and enlightening in their own right.
Above all, I’m grateful for this chance to change the narrative around mental health and let myself be vulnerable as part of my healing journey. It’s not easy, but it has helped me understand myself better and get back on track towards a more peaceful way of living.
