I recently had the privilege to talk with Jennette McCurdy, who bravely spoke about her struggle with mental health. It made me realize how important it is for anyone who is struggling to be able to freely speak about their feelings and get the support they need. Her story is an example of how important it is for us to reach out and listen, as well as taking care of our own mental health before it gets too difficult to manage. Taking the time out for self-care has been a huge part of managing my own anxiety and I am grateful that Jennette was able to share her story so that more people may take the necessary steps towards improved wellbeing.
I completely agree with you that it’s so important to be able to speak freely about our mental health struggles and get the support we need. It’s truly inspiring to see people like Jennette McCurdy coming forward and speaking out about their own experiences. I’m 52 years old now, and have been dealing with anxiety since I was in my thirties. It took me a while before I finally found the courage to reach out and talk about it, but I’m thankful that I did as it has made all the difference in how I manage my anxiety today. One of the most valuable lessons I learned over this time is how vital self-care and taking time for yourself can be for managing our mental wellbeing. It’s important that we take care of ourselves first before anything else, no matter how difficult it may seem. Thanks again for bringing this up!
