My anorexia recovery story

My name is (redacted). For the past eighteen months, I have been working tirelessly to recover from anorexia. It has been a challenging and difficult journey, but the rewards have been so worth it.

It all started eighteen months ago when I stopped being able to look at myself in the mirror and no matter how much weight I lost, my inner thoughts told me it wasn’t enough. That was a huge red flag for me that something was very wrong.

At first, I felt scared to reach out for help because of the shame and guilt that go along with an eating disorder. But eventually, I knew I had to be brave and take that first step if this was going to get better. I’m so glad I took that plunge into recovery.
