Living with type two bipolar disorder can be a challenge, but I’m determined to take my mental health into my own hands. In the past, I’ve struggled with feelings of hopelessness and being overwhelmed by my emotions. But now I recognize that I need to take care of myself and maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to manage my symptoms.
I’m continuing the treatments prescribed by my doctor, such as medication and therapy. These things have definitely helped me gain more control over my thoughts and feelings. However, there are times when it feels like a constant battle. That’s why it’s so important to find healthy coping mechanisms that work for me, such as going for walks or listening to soothing music.
I’m also focusing on staying grounded in the present moment and noticing what I’m feeling without judgment or self-criticism. It’s been difficult, but little by little I’m getting better at recognizing when I need to take a step back from worrisome thoughts or intense emotions.
No matter what happens in life, I’ll keep striving to stay balanced while living with type two bipolar disorder.
