Dealing with PTSD at 18 has been a difficult and isolating experience. The nightmares, the flashbacks, and the constant feeling of being on edge have been overwhelming. But through therapy and the support of my loved ones, I’m holding on to hope. I’ve learned coping mechanisms that help me during tough moments, and I’ve connected with others who understand what I’m going through. It’s a long road, but I believe in the possibility of healing. I want to encourage anyone else struggling with PTSD to hang in there and seek help. It’s okay to not be okay, and it’s okay to ask for help. There’s strength in reaching out and working towards a better mental state. We are not alone in this, and there is hope for a brighter future.
