Healing in Residential Trauma Therapy

I am a 23-year-old woman currently in residential trauma therapy, and I want to share my experience so far. It has been challenging and emotional, but I can already feel myself making progress. Being surrounded by supportive professionals and peers who understand what I’ve been through has been a game-changer. There are still tough moments, but I’m learning to cope and heal in ways I never thought possible. I have hope for the future and am grateful for the opportunity to focus on my mental health. To anyone considering this type of therapy, know that it’s okay to feel scared or unsure, but the potential for healing and growth is worth it. You are not alone, and things can get better.
