Lately food feels more like a chore than something I look forward to. I’ll make a meal, take a few bites, and then feel done, even when I know I haven’t eaten enough. There isn’t always nausea or pain, which makes it harder to understand. Sometimes I just have no interest in deciding what to cook or sitting down to eat.
I’ve been trying smaller portions and keeping easy foods around, like yogurt, soup, toast, and fruit. Drinking a nutrition shake has been easier on some days. I’m keeping an eye on my weight and energy, but I probably shouldn’t ignore this if it keeps going. Has anyone found a way to make eating feel less like a task?

@Cassandra_Phillips, keeping nutrition shakes and easy foods available sounds sensible, especially when deciding what to cook feels exhausting. I’ve found that eating by the clock helps more than waiting to feel hungry. Even a few bites every couple of hours can be easier than facing a full meal.
Have you noticed whether certain textures or times of day are easier? I’d keep tracking your weight and energy, and bring it up with your doctor if the low appetite continues, especially if you’re losing weight or feeling weak.

@Tracy_Mitchell, eating by the clock is a good suggestion. I’ve noticed that waiting until I feel hungry can backfire, so having something small at regular times makes it less overwhelming.
Morning foods and softer textures seem easiest for me too. I’d probably keep tracking weight and energy as you suggested, since ongoing weakness or weight loss would be a good reason to check in with a doctor.
