As a 25-year-old man dealing with both drug addiction and mental illness, I know how overwhelming and isolating it can feel. But I also know that there is hope. It’s not easy, and there are days when it feels like I’m taking one step forward and two steps back. But I’ve come to realize that every small victory is worth celebrating. Whether it’s reaching out for help, staying sober for a day, or simply getting out of bed in the morning, these moments of resilience are what keep me going. I’ve learned that it’s okay to ask for help, to lean on others for support, and to be gentle with myself. Recovery is a journey filled with ups and downs, but with determination and the right support, I believe that we can all find the strength to overcome.
