As a 34-year-old woman, I never expected to be dealing with atypical depression, but here I am. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions and I’ve felt so alone at times. But I refuse to let this define me. I’ve been seeking support from a mental health nonprofit and it has been a game changer. Finding others who understand what I’m going through and receiving guidance on coping strategies has given me hope. I’ve learned that it’s okay to not be okay, and that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I’m grateful for the resources and community that have helped me through this difficult time, and I want to encourage others to reach out for help as well. We’re stronger together, and there’s always a reason to keep fighting.
