As an 18-year-old woman, navigating the 12 step program for my mental illness has been a challenge, but also a source of hope and progress. I have found a sense of community and understanding in the meetings, and the steps have given me a framework for my recovery journey. It’s not always easy, and there are times when I feel discouraged, but I remind myself that each step forward, no matter how small, is a victory. The support and encouragement from others in the program have made a huge difference in my life. I’m learning to take things one day at a time, and to be patient and kind to myself as I work through the process. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my struggles and successes with others who truly understand, and to know that I am not alone in this journey toward healing.
