Finding balance with manic anxiety

This reminds me of a time not too long ago when I felt like I was on a constant rollercoaster ride—thrilling one moment and utterly exhausting the next. I’ve come to realize that finding balance with manic anxiety isn’t just about managing the big waves; it’s also about navigating the quieter moments in between.

It’s strange, isn’t it? How one minute you can feel invincible, with ideas and energy bursting at the seams, and the next, it all feels overwhelming, like there’s too much noise in your head. I’ve had to learn to ride those highs while also being mindful of how to ground myself during those inevitable drops.

One thing that’s really helped me is establishing a sort of routine. Not a rigid schedule, but more like gentle anchors throughout my day. Simple things like taking a walk, journaling, or even just sitting quietly with a cup of tea have become my little rituals. I find that they help me reconnect with myself when I start to feel scattered. It’s almost like a reset button.

I’ve also discovered the power of breathing exercises. It sounds cliché, but there’s something about focusing on my breath that brings me back to the present moment. Have you tried it? I mean, it’s amazing how something so simple can shift your perspective.

And then there’s the social aspect. I’ve been more open with friends about what I’m experiencing. It’s surprising how many people can relate, even if they don’t have the same exact experiences. Sharing those conversations can be incredibly validating.

That said, I’m always curious about what works for others. How do you find balance when you’re riding those highs and lows? Do you have any practices or strategies that help you maintain that equilibrium? I’d love to hear your stories!
