Finding Balance: Coping with OCD

As a 31-year-old woman dealing with obsessive compulsive disorder, I know how overwhelming and exhausting it can be to manage this condition on my own. The constant need to perform rituals and the intrusive thoughts can feel like a never-ending battle. However, I have found some ways to cope with self-treatment. Establishing a routine and sticking to it has been incredibly beneficial for me. Additionally, seeking support from loved ones and connecting with others who understand what I’m going through has been a source of strength. It’s important to remember that it’s okay to seek professional help as well. It’s not easy, but finding that balance and learning to take one step at a time has been key in my own journey toward healing and self-care.
