Hey everyone! I just came across this fantastic article about Southern Illinois University (SIU) taking proactive measures to ensure mental health support on their campus. They are training their safety officers to respond to mental health crises, which I think is absolutely fantastic. It’s so important for universities to address mental health concerns and provide adequate support for their students. I’m wondering if other universities are implementing similar training programs for their staff and if anyone has had any positive experiences with safety officers supporting mental health. Let’s keep the conversation going and share any good practices we’ve come across!
