Embracing Healing: My Journey Through First Stage Trauma Treatment

As a 57-year-old man beginning first stage trauma treatment, I have found that reaching out for help and embracing the healing process has been incredibly difficult yet rewarding. It takes a lot of courage to face the pain and address the trauma that has been holding me back for so long. But with the support of my therapist and the resources provided by this amazing nonprofit organization, I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have learned that it’s okay to not be okay, and that seeking treatment is a sign of strength, not weakness. I am grateful for the opportunity to heal and grow, and I hope that by sharing my experience, I can encourage others to take this brave step towards their own recovery.
