For years, I’ve struggled with the idea of ‘perfect’ eating and constantly striving for a ‘clean’ diet. It’s exhausting and has taken a toll on my mental health. But I’ve come to realize that my worth isn’t defined by the foods I eat or how ‘pure’ my diet is. It’s been a challenging journey, but I’ve made progress by working with professionals and finding a support system. I’m learning to embrace balance and self-acceptance, and it’s been incredibly freeing. There are still tough days, but I’m determined to prioritize my mental well-being and find peace with food. For anyone else struggling with orthorexia, know that you’re not alone and it’s okay to seek help. There’s so much more to life than obsessing over food, and you deserve to experience the joy and freedom that comes with finding a healthier mindset. You are worthy, just as you are.
