Eastern Health mental health support has been hard to navigate. I’ve spent a lot of time being passed between services, repeating the same information, and not knowing who was actually responsible for follow-up. When you’re already struggling, making several calls and waiting for callbacks can feel overwhelming.

I know the staff are likely dealing with huge demand, but the system still feels confusing from the outside. A clear point of contact and better updates would make a big difference.

@Robert_Davies, not knowing who is responsible for the next step must make an already difficult situation feel even more uncertain. Having to repeat the same story to each service can be exhausting too.

A named contact, even if they could only provide occasional updates, would make the process feel much less like being left in limbo. Were you ever given a clear explanation of which service would follow up, or did you have to keep chasing them yourself?

@Jason_Jensen, the idea of having one named contact would make a huge difference. Even a brief update saying there’s still a delay would be better than having no idea whether anyone is dealing with it.

In my experience, people often end up chasing services themselves because responsibility isn’t explained clearly. That can be especially hard when making calls and keeping track of referrals already feels like a lot.
