Dealing with compulsive sadness

Lately, I’ve been struggling with a cloud of compulsive sadness that’s been hanging over me. I can’t seem to find joy in my everyday activities the way I used to, and instead feel weighed down by this pervasive melancholy. It’s not easy to open up about anything like this, but therapy has really helped me understand why I feel this way and how to best cope.

I’m slowly learning how to identify what triggers my low moods as well as techniques for managing and reducing them. Just taking the time to focus on myself each day and journal out my thoughts has made a big difference. And, although it hasn’t been easy, taking action towards improving my mental health has helped loosen some of these oppressive feelings of sadness.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by compulsive sadness like I have been, I urge you to reach out for help. You deserve every effort towards finding joy in life again!
