Coping with OCD in my 5-year-old

Dealing with my 5-year-old’s OCD has been a unique challenge for me. As a mother, all I want is for my child to feel safe and secure, but OCD can make everyday activities overwhelming. I’ve been trying to educate myself on how to best support my child, and I’ve found some helpful strategies that I’d like to share with other parents in similar situations. One thing that has been really important for us is creating a consistent and structured environment, while still allowing room for flexibility. It’s also been helpful to communicate openly with my child about their feelings and worries. While it’s definitely a process, I have hope that we can work through this together and that my child can learn to manage their OCD in a positive way.
