Dealing with obsessions without visible compulsions has been a struggle for me. It’s been difficult to explain to others because there aren’t the typical outward signs of my struggles. It has taken a toll on my mental health and I’ve felt very alone in this journey. I’ve found solace in therapy and it has helped me to better understand and manage my obsessions. Knowing that there are others who also struggle with similar issues has been comforting and has allowed me to feel less isolated. I’ve learned that it’s okay to seek help and take the necessary steps to take care of my mental well-being. If you’re going through something similar, know that you’re not alone and it’s okay to ask for help. It’s a process, but I have hope that things will get better.
