Dealing with manic people, whether they are friends, family members, or co-workers, can be challenging. As a 41-year-old man, I have found myself struggling to understand and support those who are going through manic episodes. It can be emotionally exhausting and overwhelming to witness the highs and lows that come with this condition. However, I have learned that patience, empathy, and education are key in these situations. It’s important to remember that the person experiencing mania is not their condition, and they need our love and support more than ever. Seeking out professional help and educating ourselves about how to best support our loved ones can make a significant difference. It’s a learning process, but offering compassion and understanding can go a long way in helping those dealing with manic episodes feel supported and valued.
