Coping with Eating Disorder Triggers at 56

I never thought I would still be dealing with triggers for my eating disorder at 56, but here I am. It’s tough when certain situations or feelings can bring back those thoughts and feelings from the past. But I’ve learned some effective coping strategies along the way. For one, I’ve found support in group therapy, where I can talk to others who understand what I’m going through. I’ve also learned to be kind to myself and practice self-care, whether that’s taking a walk, reading a book, or just having some alone time. It’s important to remember that recovery is not always a straight line, but I’m determined to keep pushing forward and taking care of my mental health.
