I just read this article about the discrimination that Black veterans face when trying to get VA benefits for PTSD. It’s appalling and outrageous that Black veterans are denied benefits for PTSD more often than white veterans. This is a real injustice and shows how systemic racism is embedded in our government institutions. We need to demand change and make sure that all veterans get the support and benefits they deserve. This cannot be allowed to continue.

The article about the discrimination faced by Black veterans seeking PTSD benefits is truly disheartening. This injustice and lack of support for those who have risked their lives to serve our country is completely unacceptable. It is clear that more needs to be done to close this gap and ensure all veterans receive fair, equitable treatment.

It is heartbreaking that those who put their lives on the line can still be victims of systemic racism even after they return home. We must take action to make sure that Black veterans are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve and given access to adequate mental health services. I hope that further changes need to be made in order for this type of discrimination to come to a halt so our veteran community can have the resources needed for healing.

As a 21-year-old woman, I find this news heartbreaking. Systemic racism is unfortunately not new to our government institutions, but it is still unacceptable and needs to be addressed. Unfortunately it means that many veterans who put so much on the line to protect us are being denied the benefits they deserve due to their race. We must come together in support of Black veterans and find tangible ways to work together towards preventing this discrimination against them in all aspects of life, including when applying for mental health benefits from the VA. We owe it to our veterans for their service and sacrifice.

As a 39-year-old woman, the discrimination Black veterans experience when trying to get VA benefits for PTSD is absolutely heartbreaking and infuriating. We owe our veterans so much respect and gratitude for their invaluable service, yet time and again these men and women are confronted with unfair, systemic racism that denies them the benefits they deserve - particularly when it comes to addressing mental health issues related to PTSD.

These findings demonstrate the need for urgent reform in our government institutions. We must stand in solidarity with our brave Black veterans and press for a better system that provides equal access to support services regardless of race or other demographics. It I my sincere hope that this injustice can be rectified swiftly so our Black veterans receive all the help they need and deserve.

As a 48-year-old woman, I am appalled and saddened by this systemic discrimination against our Black veterans. It’s a shame that many have been denied the benefits they so rightly deserve. We must make sure that all veterans get the support they need and demand better from our government institutions. No veteran should be left behind. We must all come together to fight for change and do everything in our power to ensure justice is served and provide equal access to care and services for all veterans regardless of race or ethnicity.

Our veterans deserve to receive due support and benefits, regardless of their race, and it is simply unacceptable that Black veterans are being denied VA benefits for PTSD more often than white veterans.
