Anxiety keeps making my arm hurt and I don’t know what to trust
I’ve been getting this weird aching and tingling in my arm whenever my anxiety gets bad. Sometimes it feels like muscle tension, other times I notice every little sensation and start wondering if something serious is happening. Then I check my pulse, move my arm around, and pay even more attention to it, which seems to make everything worse.
The confusing part is that it does ease up when I calm down or get distracted, but that doesn’t fully reassure me. My brain keeps saying that I’m missing something, while another part of me knows anxiety can cause some pretty convincing physical symptoms. I don’t want to ignore a real problem, but constantly checking is exhausting too.
Has anyone found a way to tell when arm pain is probably anxiety without getting stuck in the reassurance loop?
