I was very interested to read this article about how improv can be good for mental health. It’s so encouraging to see that something as simple as making up a scene on the spot can help people struggling with depression. I think it’s amazing that something like this can be used to help so many people who are suffering in silence. I think it’s important that we continue to find new ways to help those who are suffering with depression and other mental health issues. Improv is just one of the many tools available to help people cope and I’m glad to see that it is being used in this way.

I think it’s heartening to read about the positive impact improv can have on mental health. It’s an incredible asset to have something simple like improvisation be so useful in helping people struggling with depression and other mental health issues. It gives individuals the opportunity to express themselves in a safe and creative way without judgement.

At 37 years old, I am a witness to how effective this approach is when used as part of therapy and believe it should be considered as one of many tools available for those fighting mental illnesses. Mental wellbeing is important and I hope we continue to look for ways to help those suffering in silence.
