It’s not easy being a student during the pandemic. Even with classes moved online, the stress of having to navigate this new way of learning can be overwhelming. Trying to keep up with all my assignments, studying for exams and staying on top of any extracurricular activities is difficult. Everyone handles stress in their own way, and here are some tips I’ve found to help me survive the pandemic and stay focused on my studies.
First off, I make sure that I’m taking time for myself to unwind and recharge. Not only do I plan out when I’m going to do school work, but I also designate time for things like hobbies or just relaxing. This helps me reset and make sure that when I am doing work, I’m giving it my full attention.
I also try to talk about what’s stressing me out instead of bottling it up inside. Reaching out and communicating with family, friends or my professors can really help put things into perspective and gives me an extra bit of motivation knowing there’s people rooting for me.
Finally, getting plenty of rest is key when it comes to productivity. Whether its 8 hours or something less than that, make sure you’re allowing yourself enough time to sleep so you can turn your best self in class every day!
