The part about PTSD affecting sound and everyday noises stuck with me. People often picture flashbacks as something obvious, but being thrown off by a song, a voice, or a sudden sound can look like ordinary irritability from the outside. It also made me think about how exhausting it must be to stay on alert when nobody else in the room notices anything unusual. A little understanding from family or coworkers could make a bigger difference than they realize.
