This article really highlights the need for more resources to be dedicated to improving access to opioid addiction medications. It’s shocking that only 1 in 5 people with opioid addiction get the medications they need to treat it. This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed quickly. We need to make sure that everyone who needs these treatments can get them, regardless of their circumstances. We need more funding and support for initiatives that provide access to these medications, as well as more education about the importance of medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction. It’s time to take action and ensure that people with opioid addiction get the treatments they need!
