My ocd: finding the best treatment for me

These last few months have been incredibly difficult as I grapple with my OCD and how it is impacting my life. It’s an ongoing struggle to figure out which treatment will work best for me as I want to find the most effective and sustainable way to manage it.

I know that talking about my thoughts and feelings with a professional helps even though it can be tough at times. I’m constantly trying new techniques, grounding exercises, or medicines until something finally starts to work and makes me feel better. It’s important to keep on top of research too in order to stay informed about which treatments people have had success with in similar situations as mine.

This is definitely more challenging than I expected but having a strong support system has really helped. My family and friends are so understanding, believing in me, listening patiently and advocating for treatments that might work for me. I don’t think I could make it without them by my side at this time! Above all else, I’m determined to find the right treatment so that I can live a healthier, happier life.
