Hey everyone just thinking about signs of bipolar in teens and what i've noticed

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about signs of bipolar disorder in teens lately. It’s a topic that often doesn’t get the attention it deserves, especially since so many young people are still figuring themselves out.

I remember a friend from high school who seemed to experience these wild swings in mood. One week, he was the life of the party, full of energy and ideas. The next, he’d be withdrawn, hardly talking or engaging with anyone. At the time, I didn’t really understand what was going on. I just thought he had mood swings like a lot of us do during those teenage years, but looking back, I can see that there was more to it.

It got me curious about how easy it can be to miss the signs of bipolar disorder. I mean, it’s not just about the dramatic highs and lows. There’s this middle ground, too—the moments when everything seems fine, but there’s this underlying tension or restlessness. I think that can be really hard to spot, especially when you’re not living it yourself.

I also wonder how stigma plays a role in this. Many people are hesitant to talk about mood disorders, whether it’s fear of being judged or just not fully understanding what it means. I’ve found that open conversations can really help break down those barriers. If anyone is experiencing similar feelings, it’s so important to reach out.

What do you all think? Have you noticed any signs in yourself or your friends? I’d love to hear your perspectives on it. It can feel isolating at times, but sharing our experiences might really help someone else feel less alone.
