As a 58-year-old woman dealing with PTSD, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to cope with the lasting effects of trauma. There are days when it feels like the weight of the world is on my shoulders, and it seems impossible to find any light in the darkness. But I refuse to let my trauma define me. I am learning to find strength in the midst of my struggles. Whether it’s seeking therapy, practicing mindfulness, or connecting with others who have similar experiences, I am committed to my healing journey. I want to encourage anyone else going through this to never give up hope. There is always a way to find the inner strength to keep moving forward, even when it feels like an uphill battle. We are all capable of healing and finding peace, no matter how long it takes.
