As a 53-year-old man, I have been struggling with obsessive thoughts and it has been incredibly challenging. It’s like my mind won’t let go of certain thoughts and it’s exhausting. However, I have found some techniques that have helped me to find moments of peace. First, I try to practice mindfulness and focus on the present moment rather than getting caught up in my thoughts. I also make sure to lean on my support system, whether it’s my family, friends, or a therapist. It’s important to remember that I am not alone in this struggle. And lastly, I remind myself to be kind and compassionate to myself during these difficult moments. It’s a work in progress, but finding these moments of peace gives me hope and strength to keep working towards better mental health.
