Finding peace through creativity

As an 18-year-old woman dealing with obsessive compulsive rhyming disorder, I have often felt overwhelmed and frustrated by the constant need to rhyme everything in my mind. It’s like a never-ending game that I can’t seem to turn off. However, I’ve found that channeling my thoughts and feelings into creative outlets such as poetry, songwriting, and art has provided me with a sense of relief and release. It’s amazing how expressing myself through these mediums allows me to break free from the confines of my disorder, if only for a moment. I’ve also discovered that connecting with others who share similar experiences through support groups and workshops has been incredibly comforting and empowering. I want to encourage anyone else struggling with obsessive compulsive rhyming disorder to explore different forms of self-expression and seek out a supportive community. There is hope in embracing our creativity and finding peace within ourselves.
