Finding Peace in a Loved One's PTSD

As a 56-year-old woman, I have experienced the challenges of supporting a loved one with PTSD. It can be incredibly tough to see someone you care about struggle with this condition, and it’s natural to feel overwhelmed at times. However, I have found that by educating myself about PTSD and learning how to be a source of support, I have been able to make a positive difference. Whether it’s encouraging them to seek professional help, being patient and understanding, or simply being there to listen, there are ways to help. It’s important to remember that it’s okay to take care of yourself too, so don’t hesitate to seek support for yourself if needed. Together, we can find peace and strength in our journey alongside our loved ones with PTSD.
