As an 18-year-old woman who has recently experienced a stroke, I never imagined that depression would become a part of my life. Dealing with the aftermath of a stroke at such a young age has been incredibly challenging, both physically and mentally. But I have found that seeking help and connecting with others who have gone through similar experiences has given me hope. It’s important to remember that it’s okay to ask for help and to seek out the support you need. I’ve found that it’s the small victories and moments of progress that keep me going. So to anyone else struggling with post-stroke depression, know that you are not alone and that there is hope for a brighter future ahead.
